Fractured Unity

Important: the current release of Fractured Unity has many bad UI and game design decisions (see Video section below). Most of these have already been fixed and now I'm close to releasing the new version. But as for now, I'm afraid this game can give you a wrong impression on my vision and skills. I recommend you to check my case studies and samples of work as they're more up-to-date. I'm very sorry about that!

Fractured Unity is a turn-based 2d strategy game. It is a mixture of the two seemingly incompatible genres: ATB strategy and Bullet Hell. Blast your way through various enemies and remove a power-hungry dictator that tries to destroy the unity of the six nations.

The goal is simple: defeat the three opponents. To do this, you need to use your abilities: most of them launch a bunch of particles into your opponent. Every time he fails to dodge them, he receives significant damage. You are free to arrange particles as you wish for each ability at any time - even when you're still in battle!

There are 12 classes having 28 abilities each, which brings an unbelievable diversity to the combat.

Video

Warning! This is a hugely outdated video. One year has passed since its recording and I've already addressed many of the issues that are present in the video, such as:

1. Loss of tutorial;

2. Counter-intuitive and non-responsive UI. Loss of tooltips;

3. Abusable and non-diverse Danmaku (Bullet Hell, BH) mechanics.

I'm working on the new showcase video and will upload it soon. Sorry!
